FENELLA'S DIARY

February 2012. As I write this I'm looking out at snow covered roofs and leaden skies-I don't think I'll be going far from the house today. This is the first bad weather we've had this winter so I'm not complaining, and at least I can now try out my specially purchased shoe grippers. I've finally got my sitting room furnished the way I want- this is the first time in my life I've had new furniture and not made the curtains myself. We're going to change the carpet in the summer when we can put the furniture in the garden whilst they lay it. News on the writing front: I still haven't finished the final edits of my young adult urban fantasy as my editor has been unwell and had a bereavement in the family. Whilst I'm waiting for this I am working on six different projects - all these are rewrites and tidying so that I can send out the books I never quite finished. 'Under a Shadow' a historical novel which opens in India in 1938 and ends in St John's Wood, London, in 1950, it now with the agent and I'm waiting for her response. I have submitted a seventh Regency to Musa/Aurora but have yet to hear anything from them. My sixth book with them, Miss Shaw and the Doctor, is due out next month. I also have two books with Ulverscroft, the large print company, and hope to hear from them later this month as well. On the 11th I'm going to the 'Get Writing' conference and will tell you all about it next month. I've just had the delegates pack and it looks fantastic- maybe I'll see one or two of you there?
